Cambridgeshire's Kimbolton Castle was once home to Katherine of Aragon, one of the unfortunate wives of Henry VIII. Katherine died at Kimbolton Castle in 1536,

Later the entire castle was redsigned by the great architects Vanbrugh, Hawksmoor and Adam, so very little of the tudor castle survives today. Nonetheless, the current castle is a beautiful building with some rather fine murals by Domenico Pellegrini (1759-1840).

Kimbolton Castle now belongs to Kimbolton School and visits are by prior appointment only.
